ABOUT THE EVENT

This interactive workshop is designed to help creatives manage their inner critic. Participants will learn to identify their unique patterns of negative self-talk and acquire strategies to enhance resilience and self-confidence. After pinpointing specific instances of self-doubt and negative beliefs, participants will start developing three types of proactive strategies. These strategies will help them determine when to convert negative thinking into creative motivation and when to disregard the thoughts entirely. A key emphasis will be placed on distinguishing between rational and irrational thoughts and identifying which ones support or hinder creative pursuits. The practical tips that participants will gain from this workshop are fundamental to creative thinking in general and can thus be applied to any project. All workshop attendees will receive an additional exercise via email after the event to help them determine their values.

OUTCOMES

  • Participants will learn to recognize their unique patterns of negative self-talk.
  • Participants will start developing strategies to combat their inner critic while building resilience and self-confidence.
  • Participants will become better at discerning between rational thoughts that protect us and irrational thoughts that paralyze or deceive us.
  • Participants will also learn how to discuss their negative thought patterns with friends in a way that fosters compassion and genuine support.
